Giving Where We Live: Celebrating RED Day in Sandy Springs
There’s no place like home, especially when home is a community that takes care of its neighbors.
For this year’s Keller Williams RED Day, the Debbie Leonard Group traded our listing signs for sorting bins and spent the day giving back at Solidarity Food Pantry in Sandy Springs.
RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize, and Donate, is one of the most meaningful traditions at Keller Williams. It’s a day when associates across the country step away from their everyday responsibilities to dedicate their time and energy to causes that make a difference in their local communities.
For our team, it was an opportunity to do exactly what we believe in: give where we live.
Serving Our Sandy Springs Neighbors
During our time at Solidarity Food Pantry, our team helped sort and prepare fresh groceries for distribution to local families experiencing food insecurity.
It was a simple reminder that meaningful community impact doesn't always require grand gestures.
Sometimes, it's a box of groceries. A few hours of volunteering. A team of people willing to roll up their sleeves.
And a local organization working every day to make sure families have access to the food they need.
Being able to see that work firsthand made this year's RED Day especially meaningful for our team.
The Importance of Local Impact
As a real estate team serving Sandy Springs and communities throughout Greater Atlanta, we spend our days helping people find places to call home.
But being part of a community means more than helping someone buy or sell a house.
It means knowing the neighborhoods we serve. Supporting local organizations. Showing up for community events. And finding ways to contribute to the places where our clients, friends, families, and neighbors live.
Food insecurity is a challenge that exists in communities across the country, including right here in North Fulton County. Organizations like Solidarity Food Pantry play an important role in connecting local families with fresh food and essential resources.

RED Day gives Keller Williams associates an opportunity to put the company's culture of community service into action.
For the Debbie Leonard Group, it’s one of our favorite days of the year because it brings our team together around something bigger than real estate.
There are no listing appointments. No contracts to negotiate. No market reports to prepare.
Just people coming together with a shared goal: to make their community a little better.
And sometimes, stepping away from the everyday routine gives you an even greater appreciation for the community you're fortunate enough to serve.

One of the biggest takeaways from our day at Solidarity Food Pantry was how many ways there are to make a difference locally.
You don't have to be part of a large organization or wait for a special event to get involved. You can volunteer your time. Donate food or supplies. Support a local nonprofit. Shop with local businesses. Check on a neighbor.
Or simply find one small way to give back to the community around you.
