Welcome to Chamblee

Located just 14 miles from the heart of Atlanta, Chamblee is both convenient to the metro area and a destination in its own right. Chamblee, part of DeKalb County, started as a rail town in the early part of the 20th century and has in recent years blossomed into a place that attracts a wide variety of people. The population of Chamblee currently hovers around 30,000 people, and the city’s downtown district is blossoming with events and businesses that draw in visitors from around the metro, as well as new residents who want a slice of the good life.

Believe it or not, Chamblee is home to nine gorgeous parks, all ideal for any outdoor activity, from enjoying a picnic lunch and playing a game of kickball to strolling the walking trails. Seven out of nine of these parks are designed to serve the neighborhoods that are nearby, ultimately enhancing the “family-friendly” mood of Chamblee. However, two public parks, Keswick Park and Dresden Park, are known for city-wide amenities such as athletic space, community buildings, and plenty of parking. The 501(c)3 in the area, Keep Chamblee Beautiful, inspires residents and others in DeKalb to continually invest in Chamblee’s green spaces.

Events in Chamblee run the gamut and include the Fun Mud Run in the springtime, benefitting area middle schools; the Summer Concert Series, featuring pop and rock favorites such as 2019’s Sister Hazel; the Taste of Chamblee in the fall; and the holiday season’s Winter Wonderland. Architectural style in Chamblee consists of a range of modern and historic for both commercial and residential, with a variety of upscale lofts, townhomes, and single-family properties mingling with an assortment of eye-catching vintage buildings. There’s no doubt that Chamblee is a rewarding place to call home — visit once, and you’ll see why.
